Michelle & Evan’s Engagement Session Highlights

We find it great when our clients stories often align with our own.  If you didn’t know already, Jen and I met while working in the same cafeteria at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.  Working together, is something we have done since the beginning of our relationship and a part of our lives we truly enjoy.  Enough about us though – let’s meet Michelle and Evan!

Michelle and Evan met while working at a movie theater and it was love at first showing (I know, I know, that was a bad joke….).  Anyway, when the contacted us and said they wanted to have pictures taken in a movie theater we knew it was going to be an awesome engagement session.  Michelle reached out to the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville and reserved some time in this classic and historical “picture show” style theater.  Known as the “Blob theater,” the Colonial Theatre is fantastic theater which captures the spirit and energy of the movies.  Michelle and Evan even stopped at their movie their and brought real fresh movie popcorn (complete with classic cardboard popcorn container) and some props and we recreated their first date!

Once done in the movie theater, we headed outside to photograph on the streets of Phoenixville.  If you have never been, Phoenixville is a lovely “up and coming” town with a fantastic number of bars, restaurants, and art shops.  We love when clients bring things or pick locations which capture their relationship.  In this case, Evan loves to play his guitar (he is really good!) so of course when he asked if he should bring into to the shoot, we said “yes”.  We took some great photos, and let me tell you, when it comes to the epitome of cool, there is almost nothing cooler than a guy in sunglasses holding a guitar (I think Michelle agrees!).

We would like to thank Michelle and Evan for a wonderful photoshoot and we can’t wait for their September wedding (do you think there will be buttery movie popcorn?).

Check out more blog! (Do you dig movie theaters? Check out a similar session with Leeann and Matt from a few years ago!)
