What do I wear at my boudoir session?

This is a question I get asked a lot by all women. The most honest answer is:

Wear whatever makes you feel beautiful.

Really, it’s limitless to what you can wear; the only thing that can hold you back is your imagination. In case this answer is a little broad for you, I’ve created a few lists to help you brainstorm.

Clothing

• Lingerie
  • Corsets are very very popular. These help extenuate the hourglass figure
  • Baby Doll lingerie is short and flowy, showing off the chest and it’s usually short enough to expose the underwear
  • Teddies are a combination of bra and panties all in one, think one piece bathing suit… but way sexier
  • Matching bra and panties – very simple, yet very effective!
• Bathrobe
• Sheer Tops
• Bras
  • Push-up is the most popular, but the more non-practical it is, the sexier it usually is
• Panties
  • No granny panties, please… boy shorts, thongs, french cut, etc. Again, the more non-practical it is, usually the sexier it comes across
• Baggy T’s
  • wide neck t-shirts usually works the best because it can go off the shoulder
• His Shirt
• Team Uniforms
  • His favorite time, your favorite team, does he play on a recreational league?
• Button Up Shirt
  • These can be tied up, opened up, or slightly buttoned
• Short Shorts
• Bridal gown / cocktail dress
  • Does your dress still fit? Or does it still almost fit? We can do a sexy strip tease shoot with the dress that may take him back to that special night!
• Your Birthday Suit!
  • We can bare it all, or wrap you up in cloth, even though being bare might make you nervous, just remember, it is probably one of your guy’s most favorite things in the world

Accessories

• High Heels
  • The higher and more ridiculous the better! You don’t have to walk in them!
• Gloves
  • Short gloves, long gloves, lace gloves, silk gloves
• Furs
• Stockings
• Fun Socks
• Garter and Garter Belt
• Lace
• Tie
  • His favorite work tie will never be JUST a work tie again
• Hats
• Jewelry
  • Long necklaces are always fun, my favorite is a string of pearls

Props / Other

• Costumes
  • Still have that Halloween costume that you thought you’d only wear that one time?
• Veil – traditional bridal or birdcage
• Make-Up or Hair Accessories
• An Item from one of his hobbies (let your imagination run wild)
  • Does he play music? Work with cars? Play golf or sports? Maybe he works around the house, so he works a lot with tools. Does he do photography? Or play video games?
• Liquid Courage
  • I don’t encourage going over the top, but one drink while getting dressed or having your hair and make-up done can help make you relax, especially if you are super nervous or just came from work. Also, a wine glass in some of the shots can be very sexy!

If you feel you don’t own anything sexy (or just want something new!), I recommend purchasing one killer outfit that you feel amazing in rather than spreading your budget thin across too many items.
