Katie & Matt’s Engagement Session Highlights

There is something so magical about the crisp autumn air in Pennsylvania – we are so fortunate we got to spend this perfect fall day outside with Katie and Matt!

It may have been a little unseasonably cold in the shade, but it was such a lovely day to stroll through the pathways at Longwood Gardens. Katie and Matt are clearly two people who enjoy spending time together. During our time with them, they constantly held hands, told jokes, and genuinely made each other smile. We learned all about their upcoming Halloween party (Perseus and Medusa costumes for the two of them!!!) and all the fun ideas they had planned for their April wedding at Northampton Valley Country Club.

One of our most favorite places to photograph at Longwood Gardens is the “new” (circa 2014) Meadow Gardens. The 86-acre picturesque field is perfect for a big variety of backdrops for creating images. We took advantage of three of the four bridges built in this section of Longwood Gardens. The leaves were in the middle of their autumn change, so they were a great colorful backdrop for Katie and Matt’s casual attire. We did have to throw our coats on a handful of times when we hit patches of shade! Fortunately we ended our session in the warm conservatory building, so we could pretend it was still warm and summery!
