Everything about Rachel and Matt’s relationship brings a smile to my face.  We met this wonderful couple through mutual friends and we enjoyed our first conversation together via Skype.  From the moment we started chatting, we knew that they were the perfect “Uncorked couple”.  We formally met when we did their engagement session at the Quattro Goomba’s Winery in Aldie,Virginia last fall where we enjoyed fun, photos, wine, and delicious homemade pizza.

Rain on your wedding day symbolizes good fortune, cleansing, fertility, and a new start; so Matt and Rachel, I’d say you two are set for life!   The weather forecast was looking a little untrusting for most of the day, but not to worry, the campus of Historic Rosemont Manor has plenty of undercover places to gather and for photos.  We captured many photos of their 60 acre property throughout the day and enjoyed exploring the 200-year history of the venue. After both the bride and the groom enjoyed separate hearty breakfasts in the Main Manor House, Rachel was whisked off with her leading ladies in the Salon for makeup by KLH and hair by Nicole on the Rosemont Manor property and Matt hung out with his guys on the porch which overlooks a giant field.  Rachel took a breather at the Salon while the rain passed, while Matt got his pictures taken in his Jos A Bank morning suit with the dark ominous sky backdrop.

Upon returning to the Main Manor House, Rachel’s mother helped her into her Casablanca wedding gown purchased from Leesburg Bridal and adorned Rachel with her jewelry; borrowed from Mom for such an occasion.  Rachel descended the archway staircase for a tearful first look with her father and brother before she shared a first look with her groom.  Matt was quite literally knocked off his feet when he saw her and pulled her in for a big hug.  A few dry photos on the porch, and this couple was off to Berryville Baptist Church to officially become husband and wife.  Rachel’s mother treated church guests to her beautiful voice while the couple lit their unity candle.  We took advantage of the dry sky while at the church and snapped a few photos of the newly weds before returning to Rosemont Manor.

Cocktail hour was a blur of delicious food, drink, and string band music. Guests were ushered into Rosemont Manor’s Carriage House for the reception. Tables were decorated with centerpieces by Sponsellers Flower Shop and the cake stood proudly near the bridal table baked by Edibles Incredibles.  Rachel and Matt entered and danced to Endless Love, and treated guests to many wedding traditions such as parent dances, garter and bouquet, anniversary dance, and the shoe game! I cannot forget to mention that their cake cutting and feeding was one of the sweetest (and most polite) I’ve ever seen.  Guests tucked away outside the Carriage House to enjoy a fire pit and cigars by the moonlight.  Though the morning brought luck by the bucketsful, Rachel and Matt enjoyed a cloudy free night with friends and family under the stars.

Take a peek into Rachel and Matt’s romantic wedding day!
