Shana & Touré’s Wedding Day Highlights

It was for their sixth anniversary that Touré asked Shana to marry him when they were on vacation together in Orlando, Florida. Shana knew he was the one she was going to marry because he brings out the best in her. Ah! Such a perfect way to start telling the story of their wedding day at The Waterfall!

Both the bride and the groom started their days at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Shana and her seven bridesmaids hung quietly in a suite as their hair and make-up was done by Alicia and Jazmine. Music lightly played in the background as the girls giggled and kept it low-key. They knew as soon as their David’s Bridal bridesmaid dresses went on that it would be down to business and it would be time to get this pair married! The guys morning was similar with music and jokes (though their music was turned by just a teeny-bit higher!), and once they got dressed in their Men’s Wearhouse tuxes they loaded onto the trolley and headed to The Waterfall.

Though the bride and groom didn’t want to do a first look before the ceremony, they wanted to capture a very special moment in the intersecting hallway of The Waterfall just before the ceremony. Both Shana and Touré stood at the intersecting corners with their eyes closed and their backs to each other. They slowly reached around the corner to hold hands and exchange a bit of pre-ceremony conversation. Touré loves how supportive Shana is, and she told him how excited she was to meet him at the alter.

The doors to the Waterfall ballroom opened and Shana and her father descended the aisle towards Touré. Shana glowed in her Allure bridal gown from Brides and Grooms Bridal Boutique – she was covered from head to toe in lace and ruffles, such a perfect bridal look (completed by her bouquet from Belak Flowers)! Though Shana was nervous, she kept her eyes on her groom and the nervousness faded as she got closer to him. Touré encouraged her with a big smile – the sight of her made him happy and he knew they were ready to say their vows in front of their 163 family and friends. Pastor Alan Collins officiated the ceremony. For both of them, this was the absolute happiest part of their wedding day.

Cocktail hour flew by very quickly with family photos, bridal party photos, and photos of the newlyweds. The Cascade Ballroom was decked from head to toe in white and teal. Shana wanted the feel of their wedding to be elegant and memorable and found much inspiration during her two year planning process on Pinterest. Their Desserts by Dana cake stood proudly near the door that the couple would make their grand entrance into the ballroom.

DJ Robert Bediako kept the dance floor full which was perfect for Shana, she absolutely loved all the moments she had with her family and friends as they all busted a move! Aiden from DP Weddings/Philamediaco got lots of great dance footage (we cannot wait to see the highlight video!). Chariot Services gave guests a great take home photo with a little photo booth fun!

They agree that perfect end to their wedding reception was doing the sparkler photo outside in the gardens with Uncorked Studios (yesssss!). Check it out at the end of the highlight video!
