Tara & Ted’s Engagement Session Highlights

As a graduate of Rider University, Tara couldn’t think of a better backdrop for their engagement session!

We arrived at Rider University one late afternoon this fall for Tara and Ted’s engagement session.  It was a warmer fall day and the air had a bit of haze to it – which is my absolute favorite for photographing portrait sessions, scroll up and check out the effect the haze has on the main photo of this post!).

It’s very clear that Tara is ecstatic to marry Ted! We talked all things wedding during the session for the two. I absolutely adore their wedding hashtag – TNTtietheknot. It’s going to be such an explosion of fun (haha, get it? TNT… kaboom!). Ted gave us the inside scoop about all the amazing food that is going to be served at their event at The Merion. They were both very excited for the Skylight Ballroom – the crowning gem of The Merion.

Favorite moment from Tara and Ted’s engagement session at Rider University? I adore the moment when the groom-to-be gets into the photography spirit. Ted suggested we do a photo on a walking bridge over Centennial Lake. We created this neat photo for them across the water with a bit of dramatic lighting. I absolutely adore it. We also did a couple of photos where the two are walking arm and arm and they are just busting up laughing – not sure if they are laughing at us or themselves, but I absolutely adore their expressions!
