Michelle & Daniel’s Engagement Session Highlights

So pulling into the parking lot at Longwood Gardens the sky looked a bit.. shall we say, omnious?
After handing our tickets to the ticketing counter, we were stopped by security and it was recommended (due to the impending storms) that we wait in the lobby for the storm to clear. Unfortunately at Longwood Gardens when it rains, your options are to either wait for the storm to pass or to get wet (there are no indoor locations we are allowed to use for photography under normal circumstances)! Michelle and Daniel are incredibly patient (and super sweet!) so I asked the guard if we could photograph inside the Conservatory as a one time favor. He smiled and granted us permission (score!) as long as we didn’t make a scene and interrupt anyone else experience.

I absolutely adore the inside of the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens – the lighting inside is amazing and all the greens and flowers make for amazing backdrops for us to incorporate into our images. Michelle and Daniel were dressed to the nines for their photos (in part thanks to Michelle’s designer sister!) and their outfits paired perfectly with the textures we found inside the Conservatory.

As the rain let up, we adventured out into the gardens were signs of spring were everywhere. Michelle confided with me that the reason she loves Daniel so much is because when she is tired of walking he will carry her – ah! It was all his idea to sweep her up into his arms for a few opportune photo moments.

A quick outfit change led us down the path towards the back Meadows. Longwood Gardens was relatively empty at this point due to the earlier rain, but as we strolled along the Meadow walk the sky greeted us with some amazing blue and wispy clouds. For the first time (in all of Jen’s visits anyway) the Italian Water Garden fountains were on and working – how stunning! Again, another picture perfect backdrop for this adorable couple. So without further ado – here’s the video of their highlight images!
