Industrial Chic Party at Tendenza | Kelly & Michael | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | Wedding Day Highlights

Industrial Chic Party at Tendenza | Wedding Highlights
Tendenza by Cescaphe Event Group | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I love watching the visions of our brides and grooms come together. We met with Kelly and Michael last year and were excited to hear about their wedding ideas at the beautiful Tendenza. If I had to describe their wedding in one word to describe their wedding, that would be quite easy: PAR-TAY!

We completed Kelly and Michel’s engagement session a couple weeks before the wedding and the love this pair has for each other is undeniable.  Even with Michel’s broken hand, they took their day in stride and only had one request.  They wanted to get to their amazing Tendenza cocktail hour on time!

We arrived to find Kelly doing her own make-up in her wedding suite at the Hyatt at Penn’s Landing with her two matrons of honor.  The atmosphere was cool, calm, and collective as the girls laughed and giggled the morning away.  The ladies had their hair done by Bella Angel then slipped into their dresses from Exquisite Bride and Bridal Garden. The fit and flair dress highlighted Kelly’s body perfectly; though there was a little extra time taken to button the over 50 buttons down her back. We whisked Kelly and her bridesmaids into the limo and headed off to Old Saint Joseph’s Church in Philadelphia to meet her groom.

Michael also got dressed and prepared at the Hyatt though he arrived at the church before Kelly. He stood at the end of the aisle (accessorized by his broken hand and all) waiting for his bride. Kelly was escorted by her two brothers. There ceremony was short and sweet with the priest highlighting the historical context of the church and how this context is relevant to couples today. The two said the vows in front of friends and family, exchanged rings, kissed and paraded back down the church aisle.  Uniquely, Michael had his wedding band put on his right ring finger due to breaking his hand just a couple weeks before the wedding!  After some family photos we left with the bridal party to the Race Street Pier for photos. For such a wonderful friday afternoon, the pier was relatively empty.  We quickly moved through photos so we had a little extra time to photograph some of their bride and groom creatives inside the Tendenza ballroom.

When we walked into Tendenza, the cocktail hour was setup and waiting for the bride and groom. There were no escort cards or name cards; the guests seating arrangements were shown scrolling on a flat screen TV.  Kelly and Michael were taken to their private bridal suite and they checked out the setup of the ballroom along the way.

Not sure what I can say; Tendenza and their staff know how to decorate and prepare a party. The flowers were provided by Beautiful Blooms and I honestly have no words for how beautiful they tied together the ballroom.  As described on their website, Tendenza is reminiscent of a New York City loft and it really ties together when you bring in the elegance of a wedding, ah-mazing food, plus the trendy club atmosphere. Dance Party DJ’s and Matt Strickland led the party with some crazy beats, music videos, and live mixing.  Honestly, the dance floor was packed the entire night.  If you’re looking for a non-stop party, they are your DJ’s.

Such a fun day! Thank you for having us Michael and Kelly! Please enjoy your sneak peek.

Get ready to party!
