Cork Factory Hotel Wedding

Molly & Jesse | Wedding Highlights
Cork Factory Hotel | Lancaster, Pennsylvania

After months of planning, Molly and Jesse’s wedding day arrived on one of the warmest December days I can remember! We stashed our winter coats in the car when we arrived at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and enjoyed the blue skies as we met Molly at the Plum Salon and Spa where she was getting her hair done-up for the wedding. Adorned with a fabric flower and peacock feather, Molly got her last bit of hairspray and we were off to the hotel to check into the bridal suite.

Molly hung her dress, made by Allure Couture, in the Cork Factory Hotel bridal suite, and got to doing her makeup. Molly’s three bridesmaids also did their make-up and got into their peacock blue Alfred Angelo gowns. The flowers from Country Lane Flowers were delivered and we decided to get Molly dressed a little bit early so we could take some extra time for bridal portraits.  Molly slipped into her lace gown, tucked in her birdcage veil, and finished her classic look with a dash of red lipstick.

The Cork Factory Hotel makes it extremely easy for a bridal party. The property is gorgeous, there are rooms to get ready in, and the ceremony, portraits, and reception can all be easily accommodated on the grounds! There was no need for a limo service, so once Molly was dressed we made sure Jesse was locked away in his room, and volia, were ready for an extra 30 minutes of bridal portraits by just walking out of the bridal suite!

Once we photographed the girls, we joined Jesse in his room. He put on his tux from Central PA Tuxedos and complimented with his grandfather’s cufflinks. Looking dapper, we met up with his groomsmen and took full advantage of golden hour outside. Rain was rolling in, so there was no golden sun, but we managed to sneak outside to grab some pretty epic groomsmen photos with the stormy clouds before ushering everyone into the ceremony space.

The ceremony space at the Cork Factory Hotel filled up nicely with Molly and Jesse’s 76 guests. As Molly was escorted down the aisle by her father, the emotion in the room just started to build up with the beautiful music provided by Seasons. By the end of the ceremony, I’m pretty sure there was not a dry eye in the room! The ceremony was short, sweet, but extremely meaningful; highlighted by a celtic hand binding ceremony with a cord handmade by the couple’s family. Once their marriage was sealed by a kiss (and the biggest smiles!) the newlyweds marched down the aisle straight into their private portrait session around the Cork Factory grounds. No rain and warm weather (like the 60’s in December, say what?!) meant we could whisk Molly and Jesse around outside to take full advantage of the exterior bricks.  Intern Alexis was sent on a super stealthy mission to obtain appetizers for the newlyweds to munch on while we completed their photo session during cocktail hour.

DJC Productions got the crowd on their feet to welcome Molly and Jesse into their reception space at the Cork Factory Hotel. The staff transforms the ceremony space into the reception space during cocktail hour; and WOW! What an amazing job! The tables and chairs were elegantly arranged around the dance floor. The room was expertly lit by Arethusa Designs; no joke, if you’re looking for the wow factor at your reception, call these guys. Not only did the colors and lighting placement fit the scene, they completed the look with custom GOBOs (the fun shaped lighting patterns you see on the wall or dance floor) which totally fit the mood. The night was capped off with late night bites and a hot chocolate bar in the cocktail hour room.

My favorite part? The last song of the night; the room rocked out to Rick Springfield’s ‘Jesse’s Girl.’ Can you say, perfect?

Congratulations from all of us at Uncorked Studios!
