Purple Glam Outdoor Wedding | Delaware Park | Wilmington Delaware | Mariel & Jason’s Wedding Day Highlights

We met Mariel a few years ago when she attended a bridal show with her engaged friends.  I am so happy that we stayed in touch by becoming friends on Facebook.  We were so happy to watch her announce her engagement to Jason, and even more thrilled when she asked Uncorked Studios to photograph her wedding! We could only imagine the most perfect day for her and Jason.  Blue skies and sun shine are two words that sum up Mariel and Jason’s beautiful September wedding day. Not sure there could have been better weather for these two to tie the knot!

Mariel started her day with her attendants at a beautiful estate. Hair and makeup was done by Marcella and Tara.  The morning was such a rush that the bridesmaids quickly changed into their David’s Bridal gowns and we got Mariel into her beautiful Galina Signature David’s Bridal wedding dress.  Normally the bride is dressed and attended two by the adult bridesmaids, but Mariel had the honor of being dressed and waited on by her flower girls (keep an eye out in the slideshow for their adorableness!).  We completed bridesmaid photos all around the private estate grounds before piling into the Limo provided by City Wide Transportation. It was time for the church!

After Mariel’s entourage made it safely down the aisle, Mariel made her grand entrance into St John the Beloved Parish where Jason waited with jaw dropped for her.  A calm smile came across his face as his bride walked excitedly down the aisle escorted by her dad and carrying her lovely bouquet of flowers by Brambles Florist.  Though it was an indicate ceremony with readings, blessings, and tradition, it felt quick! Before we knew it, Jason and Mariel were exiting the church as the new Mr and Mrs to a bubble blowing crowd. Jason planted a kiss on his new wife before the bridal party piled back into the limo to be rushed over to cocktail hour at Delaware Park.

Mariel and Jason’s photo session was dreamy with the setting sun and creamy light setting behind the stables at Delaware Park. It felt quite like a movie as the two shared some quiet moments together before being announced into their reception. What a crowd of dancers! At some point during the night all 181 guests made an appearance on the dance floor (thanks to DJ Kenny Brooks by KB Sounds) or the Photo Booth (run by The Wilmington Photo Booth Company).  Such a wonderful September night.
