October 5, 2013  was such a wonderful day to spend with Rachel, Dan, and their guests at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The skies were picturesque with sun and autumn blue color, while the temperatures were unseasonably warm (reaching into the 90’s in October, yikes!). Never the weather, after all the planning, Rachel and Dan’s Pyramid Club wedding was one for the books, starting with their trolley ride together.

Rachel’s day started right across the street from the Pyramid Club with her bridesmaids at the Sonesta Hotel with hair and make-up by the talented Michelle Barton. Dan’s day started simpler, with a handful of his groomsmen at his house. After he was dressed, Dan hopped onto the Philadelphia Sightseeing Tours Trolley and traveled over to the Sonesta Hotel where they picked up Rachel. Before either of them boarded the bus, they both donned a custom pair of “First Look” blacked-out sunglasses so they could not see each other on the ride over to the Philadelphia Waterworks where their first look took place.

When Dan took off his sunglasses at the Waterworks to see his first look of Rachel, he saw her standing in front of him in a beautiful gown bought from Bridals by Danielle and her flowers from Philadelphia Flower Market.  Her Flyer’s orange shoes peeked out from beneath the hem of her dress. The bridal party joined the bride and groom and we snapped photos at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and other nooks and crannies around the city.

The ceremony was held at the Pyramid Club Atrium and the reception upstairs on the fifty-second floor. The Pyramid Club lends itself to amazing views of the city of Philadelphia. DJ Fred Alvisi from VIP DJ Entertainment rocked the house until the couple made their sparkler getaway exit to their after party at the Elephant & Castle Pub.
