Valerie & Joe’s Engagement Session Highlights

It is always such an honor when we get to photograph two people who are loved so dearly by previous brides and grooms of ours – in this case, Valerie is the little sister of Matt (or Matt and Katie) and Joe is Matt’s best friend and future brother-in-law! What a great connection!

Valerie is in love with greenery and natural feeling of a farm – which is how we ended up a fair distance from Staten Island all the way to Norristown Farm Park. Weather related problems caused us to reschedule a few times – but this day was absolutely perfect with puffy clouds and perfect September greenery on the historic farm. Since 80% of Norristown Farm Park is dedicated to growing farm crops, we elected to start their session near the beautifully large corn field!

There are over seven miles of paved trails at Norristown Farm Park and we didn’t even begin to scratch the surface of everything this park has to offer. We chatted with Valerie and Joe about their upcoming wedding (at the time of their engagement session, the wedding was just a few weeks away!).

One of the sweetest moments from this engagement session was when Valerie whispered to me that she was so happy this was were we ended up to take their engagement photos – unbeknownst to all of us, this was the same park that Joe and Valerie used to sneak away to and take long walks together before their families knew they were dating. How cute!

As we traveled through the park you could tell Valerie and Joe fit together like puzzle pieces.  Valerie’s quirky sense of humor locked perfectly with Joe’s sense of adventure and together the two of them brought a fun, playful, and romantic energy to the session.  We ended the session at a house near the entrance of Norristown Farm Park and as Travis was photographing Valerie’s engagement ring, I noticed Valerie and Joe standing together in little pool of light.  As they stood and talked, it was clear, it didn’t matter what was happening in the world around them, for as long as they had each other everything was going to be all right.

We can cheers to love and engagements and everything awesome. Wanna read more? – click here!!!
