Michelle & Christopher’s Wedding Day Highlights

So full disclosure — I’m not sure where the pickle and bean nicknames come from, but it was part of Michelle and Christopher’s wedding hashtag – and I’m totally okay with pairing together random things!

Their day however, was not randomly put together, it could be described as perfectly planned. Both Michelle and Christopher got ready at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia on a sunny sunny Sunday June day. Honestly, if it hadn’t been sunny, I’m pretty sure Michelle’s smile could have lit up the entire city of Philadelphia – all the way from Race Street Pier to Vie. Actually, if I think about it, all 10 bridesmaids also were also smiles all day as they watched their beautiful friends get married.  Daneene Jensen Makeup tackled the task of doing the hair and make-up for all the bridesmaids, bride, and the beautiful mothers in the bridal party. Michelle’s Allure Bridals gown (purchased from Tesi Bridal) hung on the full length mirror in the room while she had her hair and make-up done.

Her crowing jewel may have been her veil – though she was all smiles as her mom and maid of honor helped her get dressed, she truly started to light up when the veil was clipped in her hair and her dad saw her for the first time. All 10 of her bridesmaids gathered together for their “unveiling” of the bride – their “In Bloom” floral Allure gowns made a perfect backdrop for Michelle as she made her getaway for her first look at the Race Street Pier with Christopher.

Christopher’s getting ready room was jammed packed with all 10 groomsmen (so packed, they had to put the beer in the bathroom sink, don’t worry, they had ice in there too). The guys treated Christopher to a stress-free morning full of toasts, stories, and general laughs about his upcoming marriage.  All the guys participated in helping Christopher get dressed in his Jos. A. Bank suit and gave him some great advice to take with him for his first look.

A cart-wheel. Yes, this is how Christopher greeted his beautiful bride at the Race Street Pier for their first look. Michelle (who only witnessed this cart-wheel via photos and video from the scene – thanks Moments Remembered Videography!) smiled as she watched everyone laugh as Christopher approached. He pulled her in his arms for a kiss and the pair gave each other their WM Rich & Sons wedding bands to wear for the photos.

The Cescaphe Trolley zipped the bridal party over to Philadelphia City Hall for a handful of portraits – Michelle and Christopher truly love the Philly scene, so it made perfect sense to capture some of their images at the very iconic building. We made a timely arrival at Cescaphe Event Group’s Vie for the almost-weds to kick their feet back and relax before it was time for their ceremony. Officiant Will Gwynn from Epic Church kept the ceremony meaningful and personal. They had a really nice “Ceremony Box” tradition included at their ceremony – they wrote about their love, their parents wrote about their love, and they sealed all these letters together in a wooden box with wine and wine glasses to read and sip at their 5th wedding anniversary (or, if they need a glass of wine prior to 5 years).

Are you ready to dance? Because the crowd at Michelle and Christopher’s Vie wedding was so ready to rock the house with The Insiders Band (can we say WOW – what a rockin’ husband and wife team!!!). Beautiful Blooms decorated the table and the walls with their beautiful flowers and uplighting. Tony Santana’s Cigars rolled out the cigars on the outdoor patio. Well, I mean, I really need to mention that their reception entrance started with a BANG – as the newlyweds kissed and danced under an amazing petal canon release. Jessica from Vie kept everything on time and the party going for the newlyweds.

We couldn’t believe it when the clock struck midnight and Sunday became Monday and the reception was over. Michelle and Christopher, thank you so much for letting us celebrate with you!
