Michelle & Dustin’s Wedding Day Highlights

Just wow. From the chemistry of the newly-weds to their specifically planned details – just wow.

Michelle and Dustin chose a lovely May day for their Valley Forge Casino Wedding. They planned a old Hollywood/Vegas, Great Gatsby style wedding. It was certainly a day to remember.

Michelle’s day was started surrounded by her 10 bridesmaids and other family members down in the Mt Davis room at the Valley Forge Casino. Lovely Events and Occasions was busily getting The Venue setup for the ceremony. Mandi Erickson and her crew had a hair and makeup assembly area setup and taking care to make each of the bridesmaids ready to wear their sequined bridesmaid gowns. Michelle looked Absolutely radiant. She chose to wear flowers tucked in her hair. She also had curls for daaaays. This beautiful woman was ready to get into her lace bridal gown, from The Wedding Pavilion at Van Cleve, and walk down the aisle to become a Mrs.

Dustin’s morning started out similar, though he had one very important extra helper in his getting ready room. The newlyweds knew it would be very important to include their dog, Tank, as the ring bearer at their ceremony. Tank seemed to be cool with it! After Dustin was dressed in his tux from Iacobucci Formal Wear, he helped Tank get into his formal wear (of course, it matched perfectly with all the groomsmen!). After grabbing their wedding bands from Verragio, Dustin made his way towards The Venue so he could wait for his beautiful bride.

Michelle’s Dad escorted her down the aisle at The Venue – actually it was down the aisle, up the stairs, and across the stage! Dustin smiled when he saw her approaching him and gladly accepted her from her Father so they could start the ceremony. Officiant Brian Shultz kept it short and sweet, and Tank stood by at all times to make sure his parents exchanged rings and said, “I DO.” Michelle and her bridesmaids simply sparked on stage with their gorgeous bouquets designed by Marilyn’s Flower Shoppe. Just as fast as it started, the ceremony was over and the newlyweds exited stage left under the chandelier and strings of lights and hid away in the balcony for their friends and family to gather outside for their formal petal exit. High fives and grins greeted the newlyweds as well as a shower of petals! I cannot wait to see the excitement captured on everyone’s faces by the videographer crew at The Photo Solution.

We bused off to a local apartment complex to do their photo session while The Venue was getting it’s make-over from ceremony space to reception and cocktail hour space. It was a teeny bit warm out, but the bridal party was a blast to work with despite the warm temperatures and looming rain! You gotta check out the awesome photo of the entire bridal party – when you have a bridal party of 22 plus dog, when you line them up they take up an entire roadway! Tank was also amazing and let us do a fun photo with the newlyweds rings on his nose. What a patient dog!

And oh, The Venue. Can I tell you about the cake by Brooklyn Girl Bakery? An amazing design of art deco fun – there was a hidden dog and feathers as well! Colonial Gardens provided the floral details for the reception space on each of the tables. At each table the centerpiece was a bit different to capture the theme of the day. To capture the spirit, the ballroom was filled with a mix of long rectangular tables as well as round tables. The string lights cast a romantic glow across the ballroom as the newlyweds shared their first married dance together. DJ Love Sick Inc kept the crowd dancing in The Venue ballroom the entire night. Guests also enjoyed Uncorked Studios open air Photo Booth.

Michelle and Dustin, we love love love the way you two look at each other and smile! Never lose that amazing charm you have together and thank you so much for having us as your wedding photographers!
