Jenessa & David’s Wedding Day Highlights

Someone a lot smarter than me once said, one of the keys to a successful and great relationship is laughter. From my experience I would have to agree! We had the privilege of photographing David and Jenessa’s wedding at Valley Forge Casino Resort, and let me tell you, I am not sure I have seen a couple laugh more together on their wedding day. Their laughter was contagious and every room they entered was filled with love.

Jenessa’s day started at the Valley Forge Casino resort in one of the rooms at the Radisson surrounded by loving friends and family as she got her hair by Lauren from Avante Salon and make-up by Steph. After getting all “dolled up”, Jenessa’s sister gathered everybody and with great ferver opened a bottle of champagne with a loud ‘pop.’ Once glasses were full, her bridesmaids offered advice for the almost wife as they raised their glasses for a toast. One of the most heart touching moments of the morning was watching Jenessa get ready. Jenessa with the help of her Grandmother, mother, and sister helped her into her David’s Bridal Vera Wang dress and jewelry (some of her favorite details were her Stella & Dot jewelry, family heirloom jewelry, Kelly & Katie shoes, and garter!). It was a truly amazing moment watching three generation of women help Jenessa prepare for the day. I could tell it was a moment Jenessa would never remember and would want to pass down to her children. With a kiss on the check by her mom, Jenessa was ready and headed down to the New Rhoads Transportation coach bus to be whisked away to see her future husband.

As Jenessa was getting pampered, David was in his parent’s hotel room getting ready with the help of his mother and father. Once he dawned his Jos. A Bank tuxedo, David headed down to the lobby where he met his groomsmen for a toast of his own. With the crisp pop of beer cans, the groomsmen wished David well and provided words of encouragement as they joined the bus with the bridesmaids. To keep Jenessa and David from seeing each other before the first look, David road with us in our Jeep over to Valley Forge National Park. I love when we get drive the bride or groom, for it’s a great time to hang out and unwind a little bit with the bride or groom.

At Valley Forge Park, David walked down to a large tree where he waited for his bride to arrive. As she walked towards him, the smile grew on his face as he anticipated see her the first time. As he turned to see her, his face lit up and his smile was from ear to ear! We couldn’t pass up the moment and we snapped some photos as they laughed and took in the moment under the gorgeous tree. Enchant Cinema probably got some amazing footage as the couple walked hand and hand down the pathways at the famous Valley Forge park. The almost-weds then boarded the bus and headed up to the National Memorial Arch where with the air filled with laughter we took photos of the bridal party and the happy couple.

After photos, everyone headed back to the casino where they prepared for their wedding. Like the rest of the day, the ceremony was filled with laughter as the couple made their vows and sealed them with a kiss. The romantic atmosphere was complete with bistro string lighting by LEO Design Gallery and kind words said by the bride’s brother, Kelton. Jenessa carried a bouquet created by her grandmother.

The reception hall, Independence Ballroom at Valley Forge Casino Resort, was decorated with hues of pink and purples. The tables had centerpieces by Petals Lane and the head table had tablecloths of white and pink which resembled rosettes. Chris from Schaffer Sound welcomed the bridal party and the new husband and wife into the cheers of the guests. Their Bredenbeck’s Bakery cake was topped with “love” which was cut by the newlyweds and fed nicely to each other.

Jenessa and David, thank you so much for including us in your #EastDrinkAndBeMozdy wedding celebrations! Congratulations!!!
