Jessica & Casey’s Wedding Highlights
From the stone lions greeting you at the entrance gates, to the winding treelined path escorting your vehicle to the grand house, you knew Jessica and Casey were going to have an event worthy of the books!
The Ashford Estate has everything a bride and groom needs to host a crazy awesome wedding celebration, including rooms for the bridal party to sleep (with the biggest showers I have ever seen!). The estate itself sits on a large piece of property and has deemed itself a “photographer’s playground”. They were not kidding! No matter where we pointed our camera we found a beautiful backdrop for Jessica and Casey’s wedding images.
Jessica and her bridal party woke the morning of the wedding – each in their own suite at the magnificent suite. Jessica had ten bridesmaids, so hair and makeup by the talented Bella Angels started bright and early in the onsite salon. While some of the ladies had their hair and makeup done, others helped the bride and groom by tying bows for the ceremony programs. Jessica was all smiles as she watched all the details come to fruition the morning of the wedding. There were so many photo frames, and props, and well thought details I am not sure her guests could even experience half of them! One of our favorites was an end table decorated with the wedding photos of the bride and groom ancestors.
Just as quickly as the day started, it was time to get Jessica into her Martina Liana gown (purchased at the Bridal Garden). Her sister helped her slip into her dress and clasp the fabric buttons. Jessica’s mom watched her girls proudly as Jessica was dressed to see her future husband at their first look!
Casey got ready to greet his wife-to-be in his Men’s Wearhouse tuxedo. He had spent the morning hanging out with his ten groomsmen (what a studly bunch!). Casey’s mouth curled into a smile when he saw his bride for the first time. Jessica strolled up to Casey wearing her Badgley Mischka shoes and embraced him. After their first look, captured by our buddies at 4LC Studios, we took photos around the grounds of the estate. After about 30 minutes, the rest of their bridal party (23 additional people! Lots of love here!) joined us for the remaining photos.
Champagne was served to the guests as they arrived to the estate to prepare them for the party to come after the ceremony. Jessica and Casey walked down the aisle to a romantic candle lit ceremony – it was short, sweet, and beautifully crafted by officiant Greg Comfort. They kissed and their family members showered them with confetti! As the guests left they ceremony space (which was a beautiful barn by the way), the guests headed to the ballroom where they were greeted with the amazing live music by Band of Gold. The ballroom is lovely open space with large windows and high ceiling. The space was complimented by the top notch center pieces (and bouquets) created by Twisted Willow Flowers. Did we mention the cake? It was amazing! The Bake Works cake was decorated with a scripty golden “love” cake topper pulling the entire room and theme together. The party instantly kicked off and the guests enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and dinner from the phenomenal MerriMakers Caters. The dance floor never stopped buzzing at the the band played through the night. But just when they guests thought the party was over, everyone was invited to a relaxed and intimate after part held in the estate library.
