Katie & Matt’s Wedding Day Highlights
Katie is a radiant, caring, smiley woman. Matt is funny and charming and adores Katie. These two make an awesome duo.
My most absolute favorite part of Katie and Matt’s wedding day was when the newlyweds came strutting down the aisle after they said, “I-do.” They were enveloped in a cloud of bubbles from their guests. They laughed, they kissed, and they exited the ceremony space. Once they stepped away from the patio where the ceremony was, Katie turns to Matt and says, “Matt, everything today is perfect. I love you.” Seriously, how amazing is that?! But just like most of my stories, I am getting a bit ahead of myself.
Katie and her ladies relaxed in a suite at Homewood Suites in Newtown, Pennsylvania the morning of the wedding. The amazing hair team of Creations by Mia and makeup of Face the Occasion did all the wedding prep in the room so the ladies could hang out and enjoy the early spring rain they could see from the window. Like clock-work, an hour before Katie was suppose to get dressed in her Allure bridal gown from Claire’s Fashions, the rain stopped and the sun peeked from behind the clouds and dried up all the puddles. Katie’s bridesmaid’s gathered around her in their Azazie dresses and watched as Katie’s mom buttoned the buttons along her illusion neckline and down her back. After placing her veil in her and handing her the lovely bouquet from Valleygreen Flowers, Katie was ready to see Matt for their first look.
Matt’s morning was very similar to Katie’s (sans the hair and makeup!). Him and his guys hung out in the morning with a few drinks in the groom’s suite. They got dressed in their Men’s Wearhouse suits, and then hung out and played video games! Before they put their shoes on, we did notice the amazing fashion statement of Star Wars socks all around! I am totally a sucker for men’s footwear AND socks! And though it sounds clique, before Matt knew it, it was time hop into the Crown Limousine to head over to Northampton Valley Country Club to see his almost-wife.
Matts mouth dropped wide open when he saw his almost-wife for the first time. Katie walked and grabbed his hand and spun around to show him all the intricate detail on the bodice of her dress. Matt reached into his pocket and pulled out his and Katie’s wedding bands and slipped the band on her finger as a surprise for their first look photos. Really excited to see the first look video footage captured by Enchant Cinema! We toured around the grounds of Northampton Valley Country Club for their photo session before meeting up with the bridal party for photos. What a great group of individuals!
The ceremony space for their wedding was right outside the ballroom on the patio. White chairs lined the aisle leading to the Diane, their officiant from Journeys of the Heart, standing at the gazebo. After a very touching ceremony (see my first paragraph of this blog), the couple signed their marriage certificate and headed into cocktail hour with their guests. Their blue signature drink sparkled in the hands of their guests. Their cake from Town Crier Bakery was topped with a custom topper with their now shared last name. Chariot Services Photo Booth opened for their guests to take goofy photos and Taz Sellers from Silversound DJs rocked the ballroom! And, to top it off, as a surprise to their guests, Katie and Matt performed a perfect choreographed first dance!
Katie and Matt, you two are an absolute dream! Thank you for including us in your wedding celebration and may you have many adventures together!
