Kaitlyn & Sean’s Wedding Day Highlights

Seriously romantic. The first thing this pair told us about their wedding was they wanted to do their first look in the location that Sean proposed. Of course we said, “YES! that’s awesome!” Then they told us about all the other fun we were going to have with them (hello, Please Touch Museum) on their wedding day!

Both Kaitlyn and Sean love Philadelphia, so while planning their wedding day, this duo wanted to make sure they incorporated a bit of the Philadelphia city charm into the schedule for their big day.

Sean’s day started with a bit of play (no, really!) with about 40 friends and family at the Sporting Club at the Bellevue. They rented out the basketball court for a little bit of friendly fun for “the guys” to start the day. Sporting his red “groom” shirt, Sean tore up the basketball court with his buddies. After a quick shower, he started to get ready for his first look with Kaitlyn. The guys looked studly in their Express suits, designed by Rob Fung of Robbini, from and even posed for a picture with their matching new kicks from Nike.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the Hyatt at the Bellevue, Kaitlyn’s day was full of hair, make-up, and girly fun with her nine bridesmaids and family and friends! Events by Renee‘s Allison and Renee, were on site to help keep the morning on task and get everyone where they needed to be in a timely manor. Courtney and Nicole, LaBella Sposa, created amazing hair and make-up looks for all the women in the suite. The bridesmaids changed into their dresses – each one black, but all from different designers (so cool to see the look come together!). They grabbed their bouquets, created by the awesome team from Bella Sogna Designs, and the ladies hopped into the party bus, super fun from Chic’s Limo, with the guys.

Kaitlyn spent a quiet moment with her maid of honor and mom and got into her dress. The word “dress” may be an understatement – this La Sposa gem was purchased from the fabulous Unveiled Philadelphia and sparkled in the light and fit Kaitlyn perfectly. Paired with the dress, she had a stunning pair of Jimmy Choo‘s for her day. After a first look with dad and her brothers, Kaitlyn put on her mink and escalated the stairs into her Uber Black to be taken to the Waterworks to see her almost-husband for the first look.

There was a brisk November chill in the air at the Waterworks, but Sean’s mouth still dropped when he turned to see his bride (I’m sure as he pulled her in for a hug they forgot all about the cold, even if it was just for a second!). First look, bridal party pictures, and some individual portraits of the almost-weds were taken in record time under the blue sky before we hopped over a few streets to Locust Walk for some brisk family portraits. Scott from 4LC Studios captured every moment from their day from start to finish (we can’t wait to catch a peek of their video!).

Around the corner from Locust Walk, friends and family gathered at St. Agatha St. James Church for the ceremony. Kaitlyn donned her veil and was escorted down the aisle by her father. The ceremony was light hearted and performed by Monsignor Robert McDermott and Terry ODien. Guests celebrated the uniting of the two with a receiving line and bubble exit before they headed off for a little Please Touch Museum time!

The guests were let loose in the museum for cocktail hour – they were then gathered and ushered into Hamilton Hall  at the Please Touch Museum for the reception. Guests were surrounded by elegant draping, copper Moscow mule mugs, flowers and stylish fall festive decorations. Paris rocked out to get guests into the party mood and quickly announced the new Mr. and Mrs. into their reception to get the dance sets started. The toasts were touching, the garter toss was fun, and the cake cut (turned smash) was sweet. Isgro provided the awesome cake which was surely a crowd pleaser. To top off the night, Sean even had his favorite pizza delivered to the Please Touch Museum (for every guest) all the way from the New Jersey Boardwalk!
