Becky & Gil’s Wedding Day Highlights

The most meaningful part of Becky and Gil’s wedding day was to be surrounded by the people they love and to have one giant party at Fisher’s Tudor House!  Becky and Gil appointed their mutual friend, Timna, to take control on the wedding day and to keep the day on schedule!  I think this happened with great success!

Though their day started at the Crowne Plaza of Bucks County with hair, makeup, and food, the majority of the festivities took place at Fisher’s Tudor House in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.  Hair and make-up was provided to the bridal team by Lauren and Alana of Spa Elysium & Fringe Salon.

Gil arrived to the venue first to check on the setup for the ballroom.  Being an event planner, Gil made sure he had his hands involved in each piece of the setup for the wedding.  Becky arrived to Fisher’s Tudor House soon after and dawned her Linda Lundstrom wedding dress purchased from Marlene’s Dress Shop.  Her favorite feature of the wedding dress was the custom designed coat/train created by Karen Von Oppen.  She proudly wore pearls loaned to her by her maternal grandmother; a perfect accessory for the bride!  We got tied up slightly by a lost pair of bridal shoes; but it turned out okay, because it happens to be a good luck family tradition to forget your wedding shoes!

Dressed to the nines in his maternal grandfather’s tux, Gil grinned from ear to ear when he saw Becky during their first look.  It truly warms my heart when the groom’s first reaction is to pull his bride in for a kiss after seeing her all dressed up at the first look.  The bridesmaids and grooms party  joined the couple. The bridal party wore assorted tuxes (all black) and dresses (all blue) to go with the couple’s eccentric theme to the wedding.  We quickly did some family portraits, bridal party portraits, a handful of bride and groom portraits, and got the bride and groom off to their Ketubah signing with Rabbi Simcha Raphael.

Becky and the bridesmaids gathered their flowers created by Bee’s Florist and the bridal party lined up for the ceremony.  Assorted musicians (Luna, Aleksandra, Matt, and Neil) played the couple down the aisle with sound equipment provided by Andy and Nate.  Guests clutched their wedding booklets, designed by Dave Christman, and read the words to the sing along songs incorporated into the ceremony.  Becky and Gil shared wine brewed by her grandfather that has been locked away for over 40 years!  The ceremony ended with a great cheer of Mazel Tov! and the breaking of the glass.

Another important aspect to mention was how the day was planned precisely to incorporate the details.  The tables were decorated with flowers, old encyclopedias, and mini Tardises.  Guests were gifted with activity books and pencils with the couple’s name and date marked on them (as if you could forget!).  Most importantly, I must add that all the dinning chairs were equipped with wheels, and though it was tempting, I do not think any guests had chair races on the dance floor over the course of the night.  After a quick outfit change, (sneakers for Becky and a kilt for Gil), the couple was introduced into their reception by DJ Kiltboy who continued the fabulous party attitude all through the night at Fisher’s Tudor House.  Uncorked Studios set up our open air Photo Booth for some awesome photos of the crowd.
