Katrina & David’s Engagement Session Highlights
Sometimes mother nature has a mind of her own when it comes to our engagement session. No matter how many times we check the radar and the weather forecast, sometimes it just plain rains. Buuuut, fortunately we know awesome people like Katrina and David who don’t mind letting us start their photo session in the raindrops.
We met at the top of the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps under some umbrellas and I right away apologized that it was raining. They both graciously smiled and said they were excited to see what we could create with the inclement weather. We elected to seek some under cover shelter while we waited for the rain to let up a tiny-tiny, but no sooner than we stepped under cover did the sky start to clear and the most amazing mist covered the city.
It was important to Katrina and David to capture a Philadelphian flare to their engagement photos (most important being some of the iconic stuff like the Philly skyline and Boathouse R0w). Also, (like most of our couples) it was super important for these two to have their relationship highlighted in their photos. These two can’t help but smile at each other. No joke, check out all their photos – they are smiling in every. single. one. I don’t think they could be much more perfect for each other! Her shoes match his shirt perfectly, you have to check out their outfits!
The rain left the top of the Philadelphia Museum of Art completely void of tourists and people (thank you rain!!!). At this point it had stopped, and the sun peeked gingerly from behind the clouds for about 30 seconds. We decided that was a good enough sign that we should hang around to the back of the Museum to capture a few moments with Boathouse Row before sunset. Gosh, I love the clouds after the rain.
Take a gander at this smiley-duos engagement session. I love love love how happy they are when they are holding hands and just being together!
