Kelli & Kevin’s Engagement Session Highlights

“Watch the tram car, please!”

Well, early in the season it’s not a problem to quickly step out of the way of the tram car, but I can see why Kelli and Kevin like their private view of the waterway from the beach house over on the other side of town. We met Kelli and Kevin outside the beach house so they could show us the exact spot where Kevin proposed back in August. We actually met Kelli before she got engaged (at her bestie’s wedding back in July), so we were thrilled when she emailed us asking if we were available in October for their wedding. If you scroll through their joint photos on Facebook, it looks like these two have attended many weddings over their years together, so we are excited to see all the ideas they incorporate into their fall 2016 wedding.

We couldn’t quite convince Kevin to get back down on one knee at the engagement spot, but we did create some really awesome relaxing images of the two of them enjoying their favorite Wildwood view. Kelly did recall she was a bit speechless when Kevin popped the question and they reminisced about the exact moment and the hidden paparazzi snapping photos during the question.

Next this duo took us to their favorite ocean view walkway. It was a bit windy (to say the least), so we embraced the crazy winds and made our way out into the sand.  There was still an April chill in the air, so we captured our photos on the beach then took cover in one of the beach shelters. We made the decision to head over to the classic Wildwood boardwalk to really get the look and feel of this little New Jersey beach town.

The boardwalk was quiet (though Jen still almost got run over by a tram car) and many of the businesses had yet to officially open for the season. We found some stairs and explored the empty beach and areas under the boardwalk (this is where we created some of my favorite images from their session!). We finished this Wildwood engagement session with a dip on the beach (not a dip in the ocean mind you.).

We are so excited for October and all the crazy fun we’re going to experience at Kelli and Kevin’s wedding! Lets do this!
