Sandra & David’s Wedding Day Highlights

So how do I summarize David and Sandra’s wedding? That is a very good question. How do you summarize a day that overflowed with love, emotion, and class? I will take a stab below however; I think the best way is to just look at the photos. A picture tells a thousand words, and in this case, I think it tells the entire story of their beautiful warm wedding.

Sandra day started with Sandra entering the bridal suite at the Hotel Monaco to one of her favorite songs. (She was also greeted with coffee and a newspaper by her wonderful coordinator, Diana, from Celebrations by Diana) The room was already graced with her smiling girls and a full glass of champagne. With hair and make up provided by Monica Virga, the girls enjoyed each other’s company as they sipped on their champagne. Once hair and make up was complete, Sandra read a note hand written by David. As she sat and read the note, you could see the emotion on her face and it was clear David had spoken directly to her heart. After the note it was time for Sandra to slide into her gorgeous Pnina Tornai dress from Kleinfeld Bridal. With not a dry eye in the room, her veil was placed in her hair – this topped off a spectacular dress and outfit. Her vintage Valentino shoes were almost like Cinderella’s slippers. After a few pictures everyone headed downstairs to take the trolley to the Powel House for the first look and ceremony! During the trolley ride, Sandra grasped her bouquet tightly. Wrapped around the stems of the calla lily bouquet was the ribbon from her mother’s wedding bouquet. Attached to the bouquet was a locket holding pieces of the rose that her husband-to-be gave her on their first date.

Just down the hall David started to get ready with the help of his dashing groomsmen. David’s Brunelli Cucinelli tux was impeccable and paired nicely with his Dolce & Gabbana shoes. The tux was precision tailored resulting in “red carpet” worthy fit. With a room filled with laughter, David put on his suite and headed down to the lobby to the wait for the Cescaphe Trolley to head over to the ceremony site. With drinks in hand, the crew made their way to the historic and gorgeous ceremony location.

Once at the Powel House, David and his groomsmen greeted guests along with taking a few photos. After a few minutes of waiting, Sandra arrived to have a “first look” with both her Dad and brother. It was fantastic watching their faces as they turned around to Sandra standing before them. After a few hugs and kisses she traveled to the second story of the Powel House to see her future husband for the first time. As David turned around he locked eyes with Sandra and quickly moved forward taking her in his arms and holding her tight. It was an embrace that puts words to shame. Such a warm moment for the almost-weds.

After a quick moment to gain their composure, they headed down into the court yard for the ceremony. Music played softly by String Players from Jon Ardito Entertainment. Officiated by Father Joseph Ciccone, the ceremony was sweet, emotional, and very touching. It was a warm intimate ceremony space nestled under the tent by Ocean Tents and Party Rentals. Bringing in special traditions which related back to the first dates of David and Sandra, you felt as if the ceremony was both completing a circle and starting a new one at the exact same time. With a cheer and a kiss, Sandra and David were married and headed down the aisle to the front of the Powell house with the rest of their guests. With everyone gathered out front, a photo, taken by drone, captured all of their guests along with the gorgeous location.

After some warm (but no rain!) photos at the Race Street Pier and the iconic Philadelphia Art Museum the entire party made its way to Cescaphe Event Group’s Down Town Club.

The ladies sparkled and looked positively radiant in their gowns from BHLDN (designed by Donna Moran, Adrianna Papell, and Jenny Yoo). The guys also looked smart in their Suit Supply suits. What David didn’t know was Sandra had several suprises for him. The first being a “living red carpet.” If you have never seen one, it is truly awesome. With a smile and warm voice the living read carpet welcomes you to the event along with providing instructions on how to proceed to the ballroom. We traveled up the elevator to the gorgeous ballroom decorated with flowers provided by Beautiful Blooms. With warm hues of rose gold and white the room was elegant and radiant capturing the eye of everyone who entered the room.

Sandra and David entered the ballroom to cheers and immediately went into their first dance. With an explosion of rose petals it was time for an awesome party. The dance floor opened and not soon after David’s second surprised entered the dance floor. Professional break-dancers marched onto the floor in time and gave an energetic performance fueled by the cheers of the crowd. The look on David’s face was priceless he was the dancers spin and flip through the air. This was just the start of night filled with sentimental toasts and fantastic music provided by Jon Ardito Entertainment. The video crew from East Coast Event Group had plenty to film throughout the night at the reception!
