Jillian & Alex’s Wedding Day Highlights
Falling in love with the fall and each other in the fall makes for the perfect Autumn wedding day. Jillian and Alex knew that they wanted to marry each other and it needed to be autumn!
The lace… the back… the train.. the shoes… okay, let’s be real – Jillian loved every single one of her bridal details. But who wouldn’t? Her Essense of Australia dress (seriously love at first sight) from Sposabella Bridal paired with her amazing veil and Badgley Mischka heels made Jillian into the perfect bridal vision. All Dolled Up and Roots Hair Salon finished the final touches on the bridal party early so there was plenty of time for photos, champagne, and chill before the ladies left Jillian’s childhood home to go to the church.
We even caught the flower girl taking some chill time with the father of the bride.
But she seriously was the most excited and cutest flower girl you ever did see.
It’s also moments like this one below that make me thankful that we can capture moments for families to cherish for a lifetime. This was the first look with the bride and her dad – the Father of the Groom actually called this moment out during his speech at the reception for a moment he will always hold near and dear to his heart.
As Jillian was getting ready at her childhood home, Alex was hanging out with his groomsmen enjoying the morning at the Courtyard Marriott. With a soccer game on the TV in the background and a drinks in the hand, the group of gentlemen relaxed and enjoyed each other’s company while telling stories from the night before. Alex’s room was beautifully lit with floor to ceiling windows in the corner of the room providing gorgeous lighting for Alex put on his suit from the Country Bride and Gent. While putting on his suit the room was filled with laughter as Alex’s dad told stories and “egged on” the other groomsmen. Once Alex was ready he and his entire family headed down to the courtyard behind the hotel for some family photos. With more laughter and after a few photos, Alex was ready to head to the church to see his wife- to-be.
Alex saw Jillian come through he doorway at the church and he must have coincidently got something in his eye (dust… or a tear perhaps). The newlyweds only saw each other in that moment in the church, and it really is their fondest memory of the wedding day. It is amazing how just the shear presence of your spouse can take all the stress away and bring a smile (or tear) to one’s face. Such a perfect moment. Alex was overcome by pure happiness while Jillian couldn’t believe that this moment was finally here.
It was probably just dust – not the fact that his bride looked absolutely breathtaking as she was escorted down the aisle by her father.
I do – do you? I felt their ceremony at Saint Robert Bellarmine was over in the blink of an eye! One of the most joyous moments for us is to watch the newlyweds escape the ceremony with the biggest smiles on their faces – they are now officially married!
The newlyweds and their bridal party rode in style to Pen Ryn Estate in a trolley from Cescaphe Trolley. Jillian and Alex’s reception was at the Belle Voir Manor which was originally the carriage house on the historic property (it doesn’t look like a carriage house anymore! the cocktail hour space has 22-foot ceilings and the grand ballroom has crystal chandeliers and crown molding).
The tree lined driveway at Pen Ryn Estate made for the perfect backdrop for Jillian and Alex’s wedding photos. As we snapped photos of the bridal party together leaves fell gently from the trees as to shower them with autumns good luck vibes. It was important to Jillian to capture the color of the season, and the trees displayed their colors for the newlyweds!
Anddddd one more the the practically perfect American Girl doll face flower girl perfection. We can also showcase the stunning blooms by Enchanted Florist. The dark purples were chosen by Jillian to pop against the Bill Levkoff gowns from Country Bride and Gent.
With all the trees getting ready to turn, Jillian’s favorite photo might be the one that really makes the autumn colors POP from behind them. Gosh, the sun was making those trees SING during their portrait time!
One of my favorite images from their day is a simple black and white image of the two of them walking away from the water on the Pen Ryn Estate property. It really shows how much of a team they are when they are together and how they just enjoy the simple quiet moments to ease the stresses of the world.
To continue on with the best day ever for the newlyweds, they made their grand entrance into the ballroom at Belle Voir Manor with cheers from their 200 guests. The Insiders Band certainly know how to assist with making a grand entrance and get everyone on their feet!
The newlyweds toasted and first danced and parent danced and ate dinner and mingled and they finally fed each other sweetly some of their Isgro’s Pastries cake. And with the night still young, The Insiders Band took to the stage in the ballroom at Belle Voir Manor and got the party started for the newlyweds, this was perhaps (besides seeing each other at the church) was the best part of the wedding day.
A live band is worth every splurge penny you have when it comes to getting guests on their feet and having an amazing time! The Insiders had the dance floor packed the entire night – I’m not sure our photos do justice to the number of people there were on the floor – perhaps the videographer from East Coast Event Group‘s video coverage will show the epicness that was their dance floor!
From Thanksgiving rekindlings, to Easter proposals, to being a family with your dog Tucker, we know the two of you are going to have many many holidays filled with family, tradition and beautiful new memories together. Thank you for having us at your #Two2Tambo Belle Voir Manor wedding!
