ASHLEY & BRIAN’S WEDDING
It was a crisp, wintery day in January, the day of Ashley and Brian’s wedding. Brian spent the morning with his groomsmen enjoying a few drinks while sharing a few good laughs before getting into their tuxedoes from Domenico’s in Philadelphia. For Ashley, the morning began at Gary Charles Salon where she was pampered with hair and makeup that accentuated and enhanced her natural beauty.
Ashley arrived at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Bensalem where her bridesmaids were getting ready with the help of the talented Stephanie McDonald and friends. Before it was time for Ashley to get into her gown, she shared a precious moment with her flower girl, Olivia. Ashley helped Olivia into her bridal gown to create a lasting memory for when it is Olivia’s turn to be the blushing bride. The bridesmaids all looked stunning in their Jim Hjelm dresses ready to help Ashley into her gown. After helping Olivia into her own flower girl dress adorned with delicate lace and beading it was Ashley’s turn to get into her elegant Enzoani ballgown purchased at Country Way Bridals in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Ashley was absolutely a stunning sight to behold as her mom and bridesmaids helped her into her gown. Once the final button was hooked and Ashley was just about ready to see her dapper groom, it was her dad’s turn to see his daughter as a beautiful bride for the first time. His smile radiated pure pride and love for his daughter. To add to the luck in their Irish wedding day, Ashley’s dad gave her a sixpence in old tradition to carry in her shoe.
Ashley and Brian decided to see each other at the hotel before traveling to Celebrations for their ceremony and reception. In the audience of their family and bridal party, Ashley took Brian’s breath away at first sight. Tears of joy were in both of their eyes as they shared an embrace that clearly showed how much they deeply care for each other.
After sweetly wiping away Brian’s tears, Ashley and her soon to be hubby ventured outside to take pictures around the snow-covered grounds of the hotel. The way Brian made Ashley smile and the loving way they looked at each other warmed up the chilly January air. Ashley, Brian and their bridal party traveled by way of limo from Celebrations Limo from the Crowne Plaza hotel to Celebrations.
Upon arriving at Celebrations, Ashley and Brian stole a quiet moment together in the room where their ceremony would soon take place listening to soft music played by their harpist, Lynn Goodfellow. They cherished a few more embraces under the glowing light of the crystal chandelier before posing for photos with their families and bridal party.
To show their Irish pride, the couple posed for a few fun-loving photos wrapped up in the flag of Ireland. Before they knew it, it was time to part briefly to get ready for the ceremony.
While she awaited the time she would walk down the aisle to the love of her life, Brian, Ashley spent a few quiet moments with her dad where he placed her sixpence in her shoe. As each member of the bridal party and parents of the bride and groom took their positions in the ceremony space, Brian eagerly awaited Ashley’s entrance. Brian’s nephew, James, carried a sign telling his uncle that his girl would be next!
Ashley ascended the fabric swept staircase carrying her beautiful white and cream bouquet designed by Infinitely Yours Flowers, meeting her father at the bottom before making her way to Brian. Their ceremony was short and sweet, performed by the bride’s uncle, Rick Renson Jr., complete with a sand ceremony and the reading of an Irish Wedding Blessing. After exchanging rings, Ashley and Brian sealed their vows with a kiss and exited hand-in-hand as husband and wife.
While their guests began to enjoy cocktail hour, the bride and groom took the opportunity to see the room where they would celebrate the start of this journey in their lives together with their family and friends. The room was filled with a golden glow from the uplighting provided by FEC Music.
The tables were enchanting, decorated with touches of soft gold and maroon. In the center of the tables was a whimsical arrangement of branches adorned with soft glowing lights. At each place setting was a bubbling glass of champagne with either a floating raspberry or blackberry ready to toast best wishes to the happy couple. Their cake, from H.F. Hornberger Bakery, was decorated with deep red buttercream roses cascading down the side from the personalized heart topper to the bottom tier.
Before their grand entrance to their reception, Brian and Ashley snuck away to take advantage of the picturesque white marble gazebo at Celebrations.
After sharing in many laughs while the bridal party entered into the ballroom, Ashley and Brian made their entrance before sharing in their first dance as husband and wife to “Feels like Home” by Edwina Hayes. The new Mr. and Mrs. then watched as each shared in a special dance with their mother and father.
Dylan, Brian’s Best Man and Lexy, Ashley’s Maid of Honor, then shared their sentimental speeches that brought both smiles and happy tears.
The rest of the night went down in history with many shared laughs and guests dancing the night away on the dance floor to the tunes provided by their DJ, Mike Stampone. Ashley and Brian are truly “lucky in love” and we wish them all the best in their new life together as husband and wife!
